Life Group Leaders
You’re the reason someone at Creekwood has a room to walk into on a Tuesday night, and a number to text at 11pm. That’s a real weekly cost. Everything on this page exists to make carrying it lighter — bookmark it, and come back whenever you need something.
The two documents every leader should have.
If you read nothing else on this page, read these. Between them they answer most of the questions a leader asks in their first semester — and they’re worth re-reading at the start of every new one.
Life Group Manual
The complete guide to leading a Life Group at Creekwood. This is the one document to download, keep, and come back to — not a page to skim once and lose in a browser tab.
Life Group Expectations
What Creekwood asks of every Life Group leader, in writing. Read it next to the manual — the manual tells you how, this one tells you what you’ve agreed to.
Resources For You
01
Getting your group started
New semester, new group, or just a new study. This is where you get material and get yourself on the roster.
Request Curriculum
Ask the church office for study material for your group. This one routes you through a Church Center sign-in first, so have that login handy.
Right Now Media
Creekwood’s video study library. Use this link to join through the church, then browse for something your group can watch and talk about.
Returning Leader Registration
Sign up to lead again this semester. For leaders who have led a group before.
Training: Returning Leaders
Leader training for returning leaders, registered through Church Center.
Discover Creekwood
Registration for Discover Creekwood — a good next step to hand to someone in your group who is asking what comes next.
Discipleship Classes
Discipleship classes are a great next step to take to get connected at Creekwood. Whether you are looking to know more about our church or grow in your faith, we offer multiple classes throughout the year for you to attend.
02
When someone in your group needs help
Some weeks a good discussion isn’t what’s needed. These three get the church involved quickly — you don’t have to carry it by yourself.
Care & Support
For when someone in your group is walking through something heavier than a group can hold. This gets the care team looped in.
Prayer Request
Pass a prayer need on to the church on behalf of someone in your group, or for the group itself.
Meal Train Guidelines
Creekwood’s guidelines for organizing meals for someone in your group — a new baby, a surgery, a hard season. Download it and keep it with the manual.
03
Planning something together
Meeting on campus, or covering childcare so the people who want to come can actually come.
Event Space Request
Ask for a room or space on campus for a group gathering. Send it in earlier than you think you need to.
04
Policies to know
Not everyday tools — but every leader is accountable to them. Read them once, and know where they live when you need to point someone at them.
Abuse Policy & Honor Code
Alcohol & Drug Policy
Get the leader email.
There’s an email list for Life Group leaders — the one place the church office can reach all of you at once. If you lead a group, you should be on it. It’s the difference between finding out in advance and finding out on Sunday.
