CREEKWOOD CRITTERS

Creekwood Critters is our Preschool Ministry for children 2 months – 5 years old. Our goal is to help preschoolers discover God in a fun and engaging way!

WHAT TO EXPECT

While you’re in service our classrooms overflow with imagination as your child learns about God through games, small crafts, and age-appropriate Bible lessons. There’s a lot of jumping, singing, dancing, learning, and laughter. Every Sunday we teach preschoolers what we call “The Three Basic Truths”:

1.) God MADE me.
2.) God LOVES me.
3.) Jesus wants to be my FRIEND forever.

We believe if kids can learn these three important truths when they’re young, it will set a solid foundation they can build on their whole lives!

SAFETY INFORMATION

Your Critters’ safety is our top priority. Whether you are a first-time guest or a regular attendee, your child will be in the care of an adult at all times.

Each child at check-in will receive an ID sticker with a corresponding claim ticket for the parent that the child must wear before getting dropped off in a classroom. If there is ever a situation where a child needs the special care of Mom or Dad, the number that corresponds to your child’s ticket will show up on the screen in service. Additionally, at pick up, your claim ticket must correspond with the child’s ID sticker given at drop-off.

Under no circumstance is a child released to an adult without proper identification.

Any person who works with Creekwood Critters will be screened and interviewed prior to direct contact with children. This precautionary measure is for the protection of our children and for the ease and comfort of our parents.

All volunteers have certain, regimented guidelines to practice when dealing with specific age groups, dealing with areas of being alone with children, and when to notify parents in service.

In order to protect the health of all children in our Critters environment, we ask that you keep your children home if they show any signs of being ill (symptoms include but are not limited to the following):

  • A fever of 100 degrees or higher
  • Diarrhea or vomiting, currently or within the last 24 hours – no matter what the cause is (medication, teething, etc.)
  • Common cold
  • Sore throat, constant cough
  • Colored mucus (runny nose that is not clear)
  • Any unexplained rash
  • Any skin infection
  • Pinkeye or other eye infections/mucus or redness of the eye
  • Lice, including the presence of nits

This policy applies to children, staff, and volunteers, and all must be free of symptoms without medication for 24 hours before returning to their ministry environment.

Notify us of all allergies, medical needs, or behavioral needs so we can best assist your family. We provide a snack in Crawlers-Pre-K classrooms. No outside food or drink is permitted. (Labeled bottles for babies and crawlers are allowed.)

If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact our Critters Team.
