Save The Date

Sunday, July 14

At Creekwood, We Serve Always! It’s not just something we say, but it’s something we value. We welcome people to put their compassion to work on a weekly basis at Creekwood and local outreaches. But on one day this year, we’re asking everybody to jump in to be a part of Serve Day. Hundreds will go out as we partner with our community to show the love of Christ all across our city!

There will be no weekend services, as we go out and be the hands and feet of Christ, together.

Registration opens in June!

Do you know someone in your neighborhood and around your community who we could serve? Perhaps there is a widow, single mother, or elderly person that could be assisted by painting their house, cutting grass, or cleaning up the yard. Firefighters, police officers, school resource officers, nursing home residents, assisted living homes, and local business owners are all great people to reach out to!

Questions About Serve Day

What is Serve Day?

Serve Day is an exciting opportunity for us, the local church, to go into our communities and love our neighbors. This summer, come be a part of serving our communities and sharing the love of Jesus through simple, practical acts of kindness.

Serve Day 2019 is on July 14, 2019.

How do Serve Day projects work?

We will go into our community to serve in many different ways. From picking up trash, yard work, simple home repairs from painting to sorting clothes, serving our first responders and playing games with elderly at local retirement homes. There will be projects for everyone.

How do Serve Day Teams work?

Each volunteer will be paired to a Team Leader. Teams will be assigned to projects based on the skill level of those in the team. The team will be responsible for gathering the majority of the needed tools for their project. This will be coordinated and communicated to the team by the team leader.

What should I bring on Serve Day?

Bring any personal items you may need to use on your project: Serve Day T-shirt, sunscreen, drinking water, sneakers, a hat, etc. Your Serve Team Leader can confirm any project-specific items you may need to bring: gloves, rakes, lawn mowers, tarps, work tools, etc. Work clothes are a good idea for serve opportunities requiring physical labor, and we recommend not wearing jewelry.

Can my child serve?

Absolutely! We would love for you to serve with your whole family. We will have projects to accommodate everyone. If your family would like to serve in two separate projects, we do require a parent or guardian to be with a child 13 and under at all times. To help with young children we are providing childcare for those 3 months to 3 years old on a first come first serve basis, you must register your kids above.

How will the church communicate additional details about Serve Day?

Team Leaders will receive update emails with Serve Day details to pass on to their teams. In addition, general Serve Day information will be emailed to all volunteers that have signed up.

What If It Rains?

If your Serve Day project is outside and it rains heavily, all outside serve projects may be canceled. In the unfortunate event this happens, it will be communicated through the Team Leader.

Who can I contact with questions or concerns?

Once you have signed up to volunteer and have been assigned to a team leader please direct all questions to them.

If you have not signed up and have general questions please reach out via our contact form here:
